No one ever thought that Donald Trump had good media support.
It seems that just about every journo in the world denounces him with an adjective, adverb and nouns scraped from Roget’s Thesaurus.
Lampooned, scorned, joked about, vilified daily; his own party leaders standing off from him as though he carried the Black Death, yet he drew the greatest number of votes in the primary and secured the Republican nomination without spending a cent against perhaps one to two hundred million dollars in advertising.
It is a puzzle for which the media are really at a loss; they can only speculate that millions of Americans are lost souls who share the same despised traits of Trump himself. That, plus the fact that the Great Unwashed have failed to recognise the Wisdom of Journalists. Yes, the public is unaware of the fact that once one becomes a journalist, no matter how personally unattractive, nerdy, average or whatever at school the Mantle of Righteous Knowledge descends upon him
In the last few days they have been gagging on the news that Trump has been passing Hillary Clinton in the polls. The pool of imbecile Yanks is bigger than they hitherto believed is the only explanation that comes with the third scotch.
But there is even less comfort waiting for them. Something that will make them choke in indignation and sink in resigned grief.
One Rabbi has stated boldly that Trump is a Messiah!
Not THE Messiah, A Messiah!
Rabbi Kessin boldly asserts that Donald Trump has a critical role to play in purifying the US. “What I believe is that the one who is going to switch from [persecution of the Jews to serving the Jews] is Donald Trump.” And he will make America great again,
The argument of the Rabbi is very difficult to follow for those who do not share the scholarship of the Jewish writings.
Rabbi Kessin states that the gematria (Hebrew numerology) of Donald Trump is the same as the gematria of Moshiach ben David (Messiah son of David). He quickly assures his listeners that Trump is not the long-awaited Messiah of the Jewish people. At the same time, Kessin plainly asserts that Trump has the qualities of a messiah-like figure.
Rabbi Kessin believes that “someone who will turn a nation completely, diametrically opposite is a messiah.” He further contends that good times will return to the US under the leadership of Donald Trump because “Peace and prosperity must happen in order to rehabilitate the Jews in America, to prepare them for Moshiach ( the real Messiah).”
Using three Biblical examples, he builds his case that Trump is a messiah-like figure. He argues that “A messianic figure is always despised.” He cites Joseph, who was imprisoned; Moses, who had to run away from Pharaoh to escape being killed; and King David, who was rejected many times in his lifetime. And it is there in the Psalms “The stone which the builders rejected is become the chief corner-stone.”
Well, he has a point there. Certainly Trump is despised, but to non-Jews the Rabbi is drawing a straight line from an unwarranted assumption to a foregone conclusion.
Not the case with certains Jews it would appear – his message has resonated with a number of other Jews.
Trump will make an excellent president
His objectives are sincere He will indeed make America great again
His diagnosis of where the present system is utterly inept is spot on
He will be a president for the people For all Americans !
What he is doing is not for personal reasons but to raise the country to its true potential
There is no self glorification and pursuit of money for himself That he has already posses What he sincerely wants is for his country to have and to be what he himself has achieved
While I agree with you Trump comes across as crass and loud, I believe in my heart he is a good man though. Yes, he speaks his mind unfiltered, and oftentimes needs further explaining, but after the 8 years of a smooth talking, silver tongue liar for a President. I’m ready to give Trump a chance even if he is an unpolished crass speaking President as long as he is willing to do a good job of bringing our country back to the great country it once was, and making decisions that is best for Americans.
I can see the Rabbi’s point very clearly. I believe that Trump will be a friend to Israel and will bring the USA back around to where it should be in supporting The Chosen People!
Could it possibly be that Trump is sincere in his claim that he wants to raise all Americans? Is he sincere when he tells the blacks of the US that “Wrongs will be made right”? When he says he wants the working productive American to have a better share of the cake than they are getting?
Can it be that the reason he is getting through is that though Trump sounds buffoonishat least he is a very smart buffoon, an honest buffoon, a simple buffoon who sees things better than the over-analytic, a far-sighted buffoon who understands the big picture better than the media?
MM cannot speak about Messiahs – it is outside our job description – and we have the dismal failure of the Australian Messiah, Malcolm Turnbull, who would lead Australia or at least the Liberal Party, into the land of milk and honey.
But, with all respect to the Rabbi, is it the case that Donald Trump is really Forrest Gump?
