    Morning Mailers all,
We need to resurrect the “No halal” jizya tax issue again.
Readers will recall the splendid effort that Cory Bernardi and Kirralie Smith put in to expose the Muslim halal rort. ALA also put up a sterling effort to expose the predatory scam and they collectively had the Senate review set up. You will also recall Pauline Hanson climbing onto the “No halal” bandwagon at the expense of ALA in the 2016 election and then promptly ignoring the issue thereafter, when she had the power in the Senate to make it happen.

Despite the Senate recommendations (after Dastyari’s demise) that the rorts be stopped, the Turd swept the issue under the carpet. Cory Bernardi as the one man band in the Senate was unable to get any traction on the issue and so it died.

We now have Aussies resigned to the fact that they will have to pay the “Jizya” tax. Sad isn’t it when 97% of the population have to submit to a minority group and our Government does nothing.

    • Neville 13/09/2019, 9:19 pm

      Yep, sad.
But we can still simply NOT buy those products – I never knowingly do.

      • LBW78 14/09/2019, 12:16 pm

Yeah Nah we stop buying the products we grew up with and they will dissappear and muzzie then win anyway. I’m a vegemite kid and pp’s 3oh is too useful for a simple solution

      • Neville 15/09/2019, 10:14 am

At least Vegemite is back in Aussie hands – dunno yet if they still pay halal extortion though.

    Bushfire Sense and Nonsense.

Bushfires are normal events in this season in tropical and sub-tropical latitudes of the southern hemisphere – in Australia, Africa and South America. Even Captain Cook noted many fires in Eastern Australia in 1770, long before the era of “global warming” hysteria.

What is unusual is the number and ferocity of recent Australian fires.

Destructive bushfires need three things – a big load of dry fuel, hot dry winds and a point of ignition.

A big load of dry fuel, close to towns and buildings, in this season, is a sign of gross mis-management (seen most commonly in public lands). That fuel should have been raked, dozed or burnt in safer weather conditions.

Hot dry winds are not unusual in this season in these latitudes – no use whinging.

But how do 100+ bushfires start suddenly? Machinery occasionally starts fires but not 120 fires in a short time. There have been no lightning storms. So, who are the arsonists or idiots starting these fires?

    Viv Forbes
    Washpool Qld 4306 Australia

    • Graham Richards 23/09/2019, 9:09 am

Some arsonists are either idiots, like school kids, careless campers or are there numerous activists/greenies trying to prove their climate credentials.
Amazing how suddenly after Macron’s claim that the “worlds lungs were on fire” fires breakout in many parts of the country and all over the planet.
God help the the arsonist that turns out to be an activist!

The understanding of what exists outside the ‘bubble’ of the big smoke by people, never ceases to amaze me.

In this instance, Quote: “The increase in medical emergencies involving tourists with existing health problems is a trend throughout the region.”

“We see it all the time, and it never ceases to amaze me how people have their expectations of what’s going to be available in the remote outback,” said Dr Clare Walker, president of the Rural Doctors Association of Queensland.

“It doesn’t necessarily match the reality.”

I quite like the juxtaposition of Bwana Neusi’s call to end the halal rort and Pepper Pete’s observation that bushfires are normal events. If I owned a supermarket I’d be worried.

    • Pepperpete 17/09/2019, 11:16 am

The people that inhabited our country before Cook used fires to get a quick feed of small animals like lizards, possums and koalas, and as a tool to create green pick that would attract the larger tasty marsupials a bit down the track.

Some modern day uses of deliberately lite fires have, in many cases been to extremists… muslim and otherwise. We seem to be the only ones that can’t see the connection.

  • Albert 16/09/2019, 12:01 pm

I am constantly amazed at the willingness of the public to toe the line in regard to Councils (Local Government). Perhaps the following link may give rise to some serious thought about the illegality of such:

  • Aktosplatz 17/09/2019, 5:59 pm

Using the Public Domain of Google I paste the Official Equation of Photosynthesis, as follows:-

“The photosynthesis equation is as follows: 6CO2 + 6H20 + (energy) → C6H12O6 + 6O2 Carbon dioxide + water + energy from light produces glucose and oxygen.”

Did you read that last bit? CO2 produces (via plants and sunshine) GLUCOSE AND OXYGEN.

OXYGEN!! What we need to breathe. And this means, the more CO2 there is, the more Oxygen is produced.

So REDUCING CO2 emissions means LESS OXYGEN is produced.

It’s time we really got back to basics which is:-

We should be increasing our OXYGEN emissions.

    • Pepperpete 17/09/2019, 6:46 pm

Fake news. Everyone knows CO2 has no benefit. Well, almost everyone. Good post Splatz.

      • Aktosplatz 18/09/2019, 8:37 am

And that’s the problem ‘Pete. Nobody ever mentions the full and complete outcome of rising CO2 levels. The impression is intentionally left that CO2 just hangs around warming the earth.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

That biochemical equations CO2 +water+sun+green plants = carbohydrate + oxygen. – is more true than ever.

        But nobody mentions that.

Nor do they mention that water vapour is by far, the major greenhouse gas.

      • DT 18/09/2019, 2:36 pm

        Carbon pollution.

  • DT 18/09/2019, 1:54 pm

I have been thinking about this for a long time, beginning when the Whitlam Labor Government introduced free university courses, later modified by the Hawke Labor Government to the HECS part fee charge to students.

Consider the many stories regarding “the dumbing down”, the increasing leftism in education, etc. And importantly, the downgrading of TAFE education in favour of university courses.

I think most intelligent people today, over 40 years old probably, realise or suspect that political interference is increasing, like today’s news that a university has approved students taking a day off to protest about their claimed lack of action on a climate emergency, that doesn’t exist.

Consider the manipulation of school students, brain washing, and presenting a puppet teenager from Sweden to motivate the mob. Whatever it takes to create fear in the minds of gullible people that the end of the world as we know it is not far away as temperatures (do not) rise. The lies about carbon dioxide: carbon pollution, just carbon, which CO2 is not. But carbon pollution is an emotive term suggesting or supporting the end days story.

This leads me to trades people, practical, hard working, often outdoors work in all kinds of weather, people who work with their hands and brain, who can solve problems using common sense and practical know-how. How difficult to indoctrinate people with that training background and work experience.

On the other hand, woke graduates pre-programmed ….. and why do universities favour applicants for teaching training and arts degrees, two examples, and not encourage engineering and science etc.?

    What do you think?

    • Neville 18/09/2019, 6:20 pm

    • Pepperpete 18/09/2019, 6:33 pm

Yep, the Left have been relentless. Not sure it’s related to type of education/training. The constant push to the Left has been going on for over 50 years and it has influenced everyone in every country (including Whitlam) but mostly in the industrialised West. Because we are the enemy of the Left. And the brainwashing has been very successful. How else do you explain what’s happening in the US and the UK where once two freedom loving nations have embraced the slavery of socialism to the point of near revolution. All the things you mention are only individual symptoms of a world wide pandemic.
There is much to read about how this change about has been planned and implemented. Google ‘The Frankfurt School’ and follow your nose.

      • Neville 19/09/2019, 7:10 pm

        And also Antonio Gramsci.

Who the F is Sherlie Moodie and what is her claim to fame?????????????

  • Gregoryno6 20/09/2019, 7:43 am

Today the Thunbergian children of the world take to the streets. It’s ‘Don’t Trust Anyone Over Thirty’ all over again.
If the climate emergency (or whatever it’s being called this week) they wouldn’t need schoolchildren to deliver the message. And the children might demonstrate some genuine belief, instead of looking for a day out of school, if they demonstrated on their own time ie the weekend.

    • Pensioner Pete 20/09/2019, 8:37 am

Parents and those encouraging these children not to attend school should be charged as per the law.

Quoting the Queensland Managing Student Absences and Enforcing Enrolment and Attendance at State Schools.

“Parents may be prosecuted if they do not fulfil their legal obligations in regard to enrolment and attendance of their child at school, or participation in an eligible option. An authorised officer from either a school or region can seek consent from their Regional Director to refer a case to the Queensland Police Service to consider prosecution.”

      Link to site: http://ppr.det.qld.gov.au/education/management/Pages/Managing-Student-Absences-and-Enforcing-Enrolment-and-Attendance-at-State-Schools.aspx

A large number of prosecutions are in order to end this blatant idiocy.

    • Aktosplatz 20/09/2019, 2:49 pm

I wonder if any of these kids know where oxygen comes from and why we need it.
Oxygen comes from plants and trees and….from carbon dioxide.

(I mean this is so basic.)

  • peter molloy 20/09/2019, 6:58 pm

I am left with the description ” that all is well”. It isn’t of course.

  • Cliff 21/09/2019, 7:13 am

It is sobering to think that many if not most of those schoolchildren playing hookey yesterday to demonstrate will be voters come the next election.

    Their indoctrination has been thorough.

  • Pepperpete 21/09/2019, 8:37 am

The vision of hundreds of thousands of children alone or with parents in tow marching across the world, to the climate change tune, shows how successful the Left have been in the indoctrination of several generations of the planets young. And how unsuccessful conservatives and moderates have been in getting the real facts out there.
Led by climate extremists and motivated by the dream of a Socialist One World Government, the UN sets the direction and provides much of the funding from our donations of course.
In 1992 the United Nations convened an Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro to address climate change. Radicals from around the world came together to build a plan to save the planet and that plan was named Agenda 21. The “Paris Agreement,” is a pact that the United Nations put together during the environmental summit and is referred to by many as Agenda 30. Signing the agreement is a major step toward implementing this radical socialist agenda and subordinating our national sovereignty to un-elected bureaucrats at the UN.

Agenda 21 had nothing to do with the environment and everything to do with socialists shaping society to their “values”. Agenda 30 is all about limiting the lifestyles of the common people, while allowing the ruling class to live as they please.

We should head the warnings of the baby activists but, rather than witnessing the end of the world through climate catastrophe, we are watching the end of ‘our’ world and the start of a new society under the thumb of Socialist Slavery.

  • Aktosplatz 21/09/2019, 10:13 am

This hits the nail right on the head!!!

Growing up is a weird notion to wrap your mind around.

As you go through life, your perspectives on almost everything will change.

How you define success will change as well.

Things that you thought were important at the age of 35 will be useless when you’re 65.

You may not realize it now, but everything will shift…

At age 4 success is not peeing in your pants.

At age 12 success is having friends.

At age 16 success is having a driver’s license.

At age 20 success is having sex.

At age 35 success is having money.

At age 60 success is having money.

At age 70 success is having sex.

At age 80 success is having a driver’s license.

At age 85 success is having friends.

At age 90 success is not peeing in your pants.

It all comes full circle, whether we like it or not.

    • DT 22/09/2019, 10:51 am

The final say about invited guests is with the White House, VIP guests are however offered the opportunity to submit a list of people they nominate.

The Hillsong Pastor is apparently a close friend and mentor, but probably ranked below the guests accepted. But please don’t refer to allegations in the media regarding not taking action on behalf of an alleged child molestation victim, there is no suggestion that the Pastor was involved. It reminds me of GG Bishop Holingsworth who was hounded from office on allegations that proved to be baseless, unless being a non-executive director on the board of a church school made him guilty: the teacher involved was dismissed by the headmaster who is an executive director.

Students are thriving when schools go back to tradition and prioritise “the authority of the adult” according to UK headmistress and educator Katharine Birbalsingh.

Went to a strict religious primary school after we were liberated at the end of WWII. Had consistent good marks and loved going there, despite forty kids in the class and hardly any teaching books available. Then I was enrolled in a ‘progressive’ high school. No discipline, chaotic classrooms and to top it all of was held back one afternoon for punishment which turned into being sexually abused by a sports teacher. Struggled on with poor marks, depression and rebellion and with resentful teachers considering me a trouble maker because of my father making a big fuss about the abuse, causing the teacher to be sacked.. Till I dropped out in fourth year. But finally got my leaving certificate in night school, while holding on to a daytime job. Then at nineteen years of age was called up for national service in the Grenadiers for 21 months. Straightened me out and loved it. Why? The discipline, that’s why! It gave me boundaries and challenges to become the man I was supposed to be!

    • DT 23/09/2019, 3:49 pm

Computer modelling with regard to Climate Change Predictions is not real science despite the claims of the IPCC and Warminists. Modelling is only theoretical and to be called as ‘factual’ requires confirmation in reality.

For example, Modelling ends up labeling CO2 as a pollutant. That’s what they claim. Reality, though, shows that rainwater with dissolved CO2 is excellent for all plants and delivers an essential by product called ‘oxygen’ which even Greta T. needs to breath to live.

Just ask any Climate Change Warmist where oxygen comes from, and there is the obvious answer* without any computer modelling needed.

(*CO2, via plants, sunshine and photosynthesis)

Trump ‘Whistleblower’ Complaint Relies on Soros-Funded ‘Investigative Reporting’ Group that Partnered with BuzzFeed

Sections of a so-called whistleblower’s complaint alleging President Donald Trump was “using the power of his office to solicit interference from a foreign country” in the 2020 presidential race relies upon a self-described investigative journalism organization bankrolled massively by billionaire activist George Soros.

The complainer admits, “I was not a direct witness to most of the events described.” Still, the so-called whistleblower goes on to allege that Trump pressured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.

The transcript of the phone call authorized for release by President Trump evidences no such pressure or quid pro quo and shows the request to investigate alleged corruption involving Biden and his family was a small part of the call.

The “whistleblower” concedes that his information is based on secondhand knowledge: “However, I found my colleagues’ accounts of these events to be credible because, in almost all cases, multiple officials recounted fact patterns that were consistent with one another.”Brietbart News

But back to the central theme of Ms Hitler-Youth; Greta.

CATHOLICS DON’T SIN!!—this must be a true story

Three Irishmen are sitting in the pub window seat, idly chatting and watching the front door of the brothel across the road.

They see the local Baptist pastor appear, knock on the door and quickly go inside.

“Would you look at that!” exclaims the first Irishman. “Didn’t I always say what a bunch of hypocrites those Baptists are?”

No sooner are the words out of his mouth than a Rabbi appears at the brothel door, knocks, and also disappears inside.

“Dere’s another one trying to fool everyone with pious preaching and silly hats!”

They continue drinking while roundly condemning the pastor and the rabbi when they see their local Catholic priest knock on the brothel door.

“Ah, now dat’s sad,” says the third Irishman, “One of the girls must have died.”

Albanese: “Yes, I know who you are, but with all the regulations and monitoring of the banks because of impostors and forgers and requirements of the legislation, etc., I must insist on seeing ID.”

Albanese: “Just ask anyone here at the bank who I am and they will tell you. Everybody knows who I am.”

Cashier: “I am sorry, Mr Albanese, but these are the bank rules and I must follow them.”

Albanese: “Come on please, I am urging you, please cash this cheque.”

Cashier: “Look sir, here is an example of what we can do. One day, Tiger Woods came into the bank without ID. To prove he was Tiger Woods he pulled out his putter and made a beautiful shot across the bank into a cup. With that shot we knew him to be Tiger Woods and cashed his cheque.”

“Another time, Andre Agassi came in without ID. He pulled out his tennis racket and made a fabulous shot where the tennis ball landed in my cup. With that shot we cashed his cheque. So, sir, what can you do to prove that it is you and only you?”

Albanese stands there thinking and thinking and finally says, “Honestly, my mind is a total blank…there is nothing that comes to my mind. I can’t think of a single thing. I have absolutely no idea what to do. I don’t have a clue.”

Cashier: “Will that be large or small notes , Mr Albanese?….

Mo-Mo has taken a (veiled) jab at the UN!
He’d better be careful; any more of those and he’ll win some votes!!

This is a welcome story about a Dad who pulls his 10 year old son out of a school because of their excessive Green Agenda being promoted by teachers.

About time. There should be more of this.

Akto: Bloody Oath there should be much more of this type of action, should enough kids be pulled from indoctrination classes, perhaps the powers that be get the message, loud and clear.

Yes, enough of student bullying and brain washing by teachers.

They are not at school to be taught political propaganda.

DT: Sunspot activity is tied in with the drought, which for out here, the forecasters reckon another two years of dry before it breaks.

What the Global Warmistas are overlooking, is the fact the Sun and major planets are what influence the weather, humans have no impact. If the Global Warmistas concentrated their efforts on cleaning up actual pollution, then they maybe onto something of use.

These links are rather interesting in that the long range forecasters were on the money, what a shame Inigo Jones is no longer with us.

Thank you PP, terrible situation for the country other side of the Great Dividing Range and nearer to the coast on my side.

Global warmist hoaxers are only interested in globalism socialism, as our PM is now admitting following in the footsteps of President Trump and others, including former Canadian conservative PM Harper and our PM Abbott: “I will not stand for socialism masquerading as environmentalism”. By the way, Harper and Abbott were invited to address the UK conservatives conference recently, and TA met with the new UK PM for discussion on Brexit strategies and other EU matters.

At the moment the most often deceptive weather presenters on TV News are saying we are in for some unusually hot days. What a surprise (not) considering the drought and winds prevailing to blow scorched earth heat to the east.

But it is (of course) global warming again, hottest ever ever ever.

I sincerely hope that decent rainfall is experienced sooner that two years.

China is a world leader in the production of poor quality products and the world is waking up to the fact that “Made in China” s becoming a mark of shame.
“Only after the containers have arrived at their destination are problems uncovered, and taking Chinese factories to court is not an option because of China’s biased legal system.

Chinese manufacturers will do whatever they need to in order to catch a piece of business, but from there, the relationship often goes downhill, albeit in small steps. “Quality fade”, the quiet and incremental degradation of a product’s quality over time, is one of the more common issues.

Because Chinese manufacturers know that they cannot be matched anywhere else, and also that their Western customers prefer continuity in their supply chain, they feel comfortable nibbling away at quality levels, despite whatever contracts they may have signed. Product failures are, in effect, the result of a game that is being played and lost by Western companies in China.”

The root of the problem is the political system. There is a carrot in China without a counterbalancing stick. China’s Communist Party rewards manufacturers that help bring foreign currency into the country through commerce. At the same time, however, there is little or no punishment meted out to those who conduct their businesses in an unethical fashion.

So, what can we say about a totalitarian country in which even the most extreme forms of punishment do not seem to have an impact on reducing criminal activity? And what does our eagerness to import products from such an economy say about ourselves?

Climate Change, Mass Hysteria or Witchcraft.
Most people seem to have been taken in by the false story of human-caused global warming. We can include all the students world wide participating in demonstrations demanding governments stop climate change, apparently organized by 16-year-old Greta Thunberg but pushed and promoted by every Left wing groups and media outlet on the planet.
Their goal is to keep global temperatures below 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. Apparently, she has no idea
They are taken in by the false claim that a minute amount of human-produced CO2 is effectively controlling the entire atmospheric system since 1950 and causing environmental collapse through global warming.
    Things they don’t know:
    • They don’t know that there is an upper limit to the amount that CO2 can increase temperature.
    • They don’t know that global temperatures were near or above that level for most of the last 10,000-years, in a period known as the Holocene Optimum.
    • They don’t know that the average level of CO2 over the last 250 million years is 1200 ppm.
    • They don’t know that every projection of temperature by the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) since 1990 has been wrong.
To paraphrase Winston Churchill, how did so few, fool so many, to such an extent, for so long?
Global warming due to human activities is in reality a subset of a wider contrived moral panic created by the new Left supporting paradigm of ‘environmentalism’. It’s all make believe.
There are many parallels between the claims of human-caused global warming and events that occurred in history known as the ‘Salem Witchcraft Trials’. In the case of Salem’s crop failures and cattle deaths, the climate was probably to blame. However, it was never identified at the time and rarely mentioned by experts today. Instead, during a time of poor harvests and social hardship people were looking for someone to blame. Witches. These days they believe unequivocally that humans are to blame for everything.
The parallels are amazing. Demand for environmental action across the world hasn’t produced the total economy destroying laws environmentalists had hoped for. Now they are using the children in the ultimate form of child abuse. It is further sickening to consider that in the Salem witch hunts it was the testimonies of two children who started the accusations leading to hundreds of deaths.

They also don’t know that oxygen, which we breath, comes from CO2 +plants+sunshine.

No CO2 = No plants = no oxygen = no more life. And these clowns want to REDUCE CO2 in the atmosphere?

    • DT 06/10/2019, 10:37 am

      Briefly, they just don’t know.

    • Neville 06/10/2019, 12:02 pm

Well, yes .. but no. These clowns actually WANT to reduce the numbers of humans on the planet, because they somehow BELIEVE the planet is ‘doomed’ otherwise.

President Trump’s Rejection of the Paris Agreement and the important reasons why.

This is well worth a watch

    • DT 07/10/2019, 8:16 am

The USA is now in a better position than Australia in relation to the UN IPCC Paris Agreement.

The Abbott Government here, Cabinet negotiated and agreed between the Ministers to a relatively low emissions target to take to the Paris Conference despite the Mansion Black Hand LINO MP’s influence. PM Abbott was replaced by PM Mansion in September 2015. A media release from Cabinet announced the proposed targets not long before the changeover.

Following the Paris Conference ended in December 2015, in April 2016 the Minister Greg Hunt was dispatched to UN HQ in New York to sign the Paris Agreement. When PM Manson heard that President Trump was not prepared to sign the USA into the Agreement he sent Minister Hunt back to New York to ratify the Paris Agreement, even though the Agreement was non-binding when signed.

Now Australia is in a quite different position to the USA and would be best served to simply ignore the UN IPCC demands, achieve the targets which we are apparently in position to achieve already, as we did Kyoto Agreement targets earlier, and claim the high moral ground at future UN IPCC conferences. And, continue to do what Prime Minister Morrison has announced, no more interference from foreigners, UN.

      • Albert 07/10/2019, 9:18 am

How about we stop all the wailing and gnashing of teeth about climate change and signed agreements and dump the UN and its very untruthful and manipulative IPCC altogether?
