McCormack: the village idiot at large!

24.03.20. The Village idiot from the Riverina speaks about plenty of food, etc despite the coronavirus panic. Clearly, he has not put foot through the door of any supermarket in his riding. Ed. Chaucer wanted dunny paper, drove 300kms. Wagga, where his office is: two Woolworths, a Coles and Aldi, None! Junee: IGA, None! Cootamundra: Woolworths and Aldi, None! Young: Woolworths, IGA Aldi, None! Harden: IGA, None! He says containers at ports to be shipped off shore will be stopped. The bloody goose doesn’t understand that the full containers at ports means that the contents have been taken from supermarket shelves which are then as bare as old Mother Hubard’s cupboard! None of it has been returned! Deputy PM says there was “good reason” for the sombre tone of question time in the Parliament on Monday, given the financial difficulties currently faced by Australians. Pubs, clubs, gyms, cinemas, casinos and churches will all be forced to close, while restaurants and cafes will be restricted to take-away and home delivery options only.

I am sure the news of the virus getting our of Wuhan was postponed so governments could stock up for their own use.

Meanwhile, every evening cargo aircraft carrying dunny paper and supermarket goods, leave Sydney and Melbourne for China, whilst in the mornings, passenger aircraft from China land in Sydney and Melbourne.

So much for the instruction last week from Peter Dutton to the AFP to arrest the Chinese stripping the supermarket shelves, so much for deporting those Chinese acting in breach of their visa, and so much for the ‘closed borders’, which continue to remain a porous as a colander.

we will never trust the Chinese again.. and those yellow sods running around our Supermarkets and if questioned they quote the race card… We need to give them a real jolt verbally, every time we see their carry on. Yes come on Peter Dutton take the containers from the Tarmac and from the boats , heading to Hong Kong.

those stores around Wagga let people down. I think all the TP should have been broken up and sold as singles at the checkout area. One if you have a small order, several if you have a large order and 3 or 4 if you can show a Medicare card with 4 names on it.

It’s a good thought except now the paper is out of its protective wrapping and the way that electronic scanning works means you can’t register the sale of a single item without a bar code.
Possible a more workable solution is for the packaging to be a smaller number of rolls eg. 4 rolls per pack, letting more people get a chance to buy with the quota restrictions in place.
