Heading off to a seminar at one of our Perth RSL clubs this evening to listen to a presentation called “Cancel Culture” organised by the “Civilisationists”

  • Albert 19/05/2021, 2:06 pm

Hamas terrorists fire an untold number of missiles into Israel, and continue to do so, prompting the IDF to return fire but Israel is being condemned for their retaliatory actions???????????

    • Neville 20/05/2021, 9:37 am

All just part of their ‘narrative”.

  • Aktosplatz 19/05/2021, 8:47 pm

MM Ed. & MM readers, a good UK equivalent of ‘Morning Mail’ is ‘Spiked Online’ edited by Brendan O’ Neil (the equivalent of our Rowan Dean).

Enjoy! [MM approached Spiked for permission to use. They explicitly refused unless we pay! So, stuff them! MM.Ed]

Agreed MM – Stuff them then! Thanks for trying.

Two acts of absolute lunacy came to my notice this morning. The first was that money is being offered to find a method of stopping cows burping so as to cut down on their methane output and save us from climate change.

The second was that the ADF now requires its personnel to call their wives their ‘partners’ and to ask their fellow ADF members what their preferred pronoun is.

    • Sir Peter 21/05/2021, 9:20 am

The top echelons of ADF must be sacked immediately. Bunch of pansies. A good start would be the senior legal officer responsible for the persecution of the SAS, a lesbian playing dress-ups, slouch hat and all. It should be illegal for females to pose as warriors.

      • Graham+Richards 24/05/2021, 10:10 am

        Sir Peter,
They’re not a bunch of pansies. They’re bloody dangerous, treacherous bastards trying to destroy our ADF from the inside out.
Peter Dutton must get shot of the whole upper echelon. There must be many real nationalist/ conservative professionals who are more than capable of doing what’s required of this office!

    • Pensioner Pete 21/05/2021, 9:25 am

Albert: Firstly: Sewerage treatment plants produce methane amongst other gases, I wonder if money will be offered to stop this happening? Also, what about all the septic tanks on properties emitting methane out of vent pipes?

What’s next, our precious wildlife being forced to reduce methane emissions? After all, the Greens campaign to burn the bush last and previous years has been a roaring success with over 300 arsonists caught and about 3 or 4 actually brought before the beak, whilst millions of our precious wildlife was burnt to death thanks to Green interference in proper and realistic fire reduction management practices.

Secondly: Should I call my wife ‘partner’ either by myself or in company, I expect to wake up in hospital some time later should I be foolish enough to denigrate my wife in such a despicable way.

      • John 26/05/2021, 8:31 am

Darn right PP re the “partner” title. My Beloved specialised in the impassive aggressive response, a look without any expression that told me I was either in for a tongue lashing at best or no Anzac Biscuits for a month at worst.

  • Pensioner Pete 21/05/2021, 4:15 pm

Have we Queenslanders been subject to acts of deceit by our Chief Medical Officer and the Premier?

Reports today in the press about neither actually having the inoculation of AstraZenca, instead, ‘staged’ the event, now filling the meejaa with spin using their best spin doctors.

Because they are avoiding the jab, it speaks volumes on the situation, as it appears those who are refusing the jab are right on the money if they wish to live a healthy and happy normal lifespan.

    Refers: https://www.4bc.com.au/neil-breen-reveals-queenslands-cho-skipping-astrazeneca-jab/

    • Graham+Richards 24/05/2021, 7:24 pm

      P.P.
I had the “jab “ today, together with a lot of scary jabber about reactions & all that crap. Never felt a thing. Got home painted a ceiling. Some window frames, arranged to refurbish some really crappy internal window sills & then cleaned up & stored all the tools ‘n things till the next little project. Hope I’m not interrupted by any vaccines or such things. I’m only 76, so I guess there will be more minor projects on my ageing home.
Ignore the bloody media, they’re 98% of the friggin problem.

      • Graham+Richards 24/05/2021, 7:26 pm

        In addition:

BREAKING: Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced that due to the new Indian covid(nicknamed – VindaFlu) variant people will now be offered the Pun jab.

Please start taking this Indian Covid variant seriously !! My neighbour caught it and has been in a korma for a week and he’s only just buried his naan.

      • Sir Peter 25/05/2021, 9:31 am

I love a good pun Graham R. But a 4 for 1 deal is brilliant!!! I wonder if we can keep this one going and milk it for all it’s worth. I’m not just trying to curry favour here, but I was very sari to hear about his naan. Nature sure played a doti trick on him.

  • Botswana+O'Hooligan 21/05/2021, 4:24 pm

The Australian Medical Association has urged prominent Queenslanders to step up and get this “damned vaccine” after the Premier said she would delay her COVID-19 jab. Remember some of us commenting on the TV shot of her supposedly getting a vaccine was faked for I do and have a copy of it. Why do they have to lie to us all the time? Anyone who gets this bloody whatever the hell it is supposed to be is a bloody 120% mug.

    • Pensioner Pete 21/05/2021, 6:17 pm

Bots: I agree completely with the AMA in their urging of prominent Queenslanders to step up for the jab. (What a great way to rid ourselves of these lying scumbag political spin merchants)

How about we start with the Puzzled-duck and her sidekick the Chief Medical Officer actually be given the jab to prove they support their own spin.

  • Aktosplatz 22/05/2021, 7:17 am

NSW power so erratically expensive an aluminium smelter powered down three times in a week
The Tomago smelter uses more than 10% of the entire New South Wales electricity grid supply. But the price spikes in electricity are so crippling the industrial giant could not afford to keep running on three occasions in the last week. Welcome to Venezaustralia.

VID-20210520-WA0002.mp4 shows a funeral cortege for a Palestinian child, a very moving scene especially moving when the incoming siren blows and the cortege disperses.

  • Botswana+O'Hooligan 23/05/2021, 9:51 am

The link above might not work due incompetence of old age but in essence it shows a bunch of Palestinians carrying a litter with a dead Palestinian child under a shroud. The sirens for incoming rockets blare, the litter is dropped, the bearers shoot through in the direction of away, and then the shroud is thrown aside and the not so dead child also shoots through like a Bondi tram.

    • Sir Peter 24/05/2021, 9:35 am

Hey Bots. I read the first of your posts re “Palestinian” child funeral and thought oh no he’s drunk the koolade. Then I read the second, and breathed a sigh of relief.

The Sunday Mail runs some statistics on the dreaded virus, cites cases and deaths. Without alluding to that nice Andrews chappie the death rate vs cases here is 3% and yet in India is 1%. USA 1.7%, the UK 2.8%, Israel 0.76%, Russia 2.3%, China 5%, and Thailand 0.5% So much for locking people up.

      PM: Your body, your choice.

You may find like I have found, it is a waste of breath arguing with the sheepies as they will not listen to reason or facts, they believe everything on the TeeVee as ‘true’ anything the pollies tells us is ‘true’ and in this case, it is their body their choice, so good luck to them, they may need it.

I wonder how many of them will still be around in two years time?

      • Botswana+O'Hooligan 26/05/2021, 9:10 am

Yairs you two, you can present facts, talk about the National socialism of Germany, about the experiments Menangles carried out, the Nuremberg convention on not allowing anyone to experiment on your body, the 1% death rate of those who catch the virus in India as against the 3% here from that bastard of a Victorian government, and you can go on and on until you are blue in the face but most of the people you talk to still believe the media and government nonsense. To put it succinctly, we are buggered and are going to be like wallaby Ted’s big brother Roo Ted.

Blinken insists, “US will lead international efforts to rebuild a Gaza left shattered by Israeli airstrikes, while also insisting that Hamas will not benefit from the reconstruction and financial support.”. (Telegraph 26/05),

I wonder how the US will isolate Hamas from their efforts?. It is just perpetuating the process, rewarding the instigators. I have travelled through that region and peoples and to totally misquote Adam Lindsay Gordon,

  • Sir Peter 26/05/2021, 9:31 am

  • DT 26/05/2021, 11:29 am

So, The Australian today Wednesday: “Subs builder to spend $100m on Aussie tools”.

…. “as the company moved towards cutting steel with construction of the first of the hulls slated for 2023”.

Where has the scare mongering gone? No new subs for decades to come? And how about price, quote the total contract amount covering research and development, technology from the US to be installed, spares, training, etc., and not admitting that actual cost per unit will be about the same as a US nuclear submarine commissioned and operational.

Or that the Shortfin Barracuda is not a modified nuclear submarine, it is in fact an advanced new submarine based on France’s latest nuclear submarine design. A new generation submarine to replace Collins Class and advanced on “off the shelf” designs like the soon to be replaced Japanese design.

    Shortfin Barracuda for RAN

    https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/3470/australia-is-getting-the-baddest-diesel-electric-submarines-on-the-planet

    • DT 26/05/2021, 11:35 am

Yes the Turnbull Government agreed to order from France, but Cabinet Ministers make decisions after consultation with the department that presents the capital expenditure proposal, their experts, other consultants and of course the professionals from the supplier, and our allies even get consulted on major defence purchases because the RAN works with allies as a defence force member.

Former Labor Minister “Richo” Richardson explained the process last year on Sky, in reply to a question about ministerial decision making.

  • DT 26/05/2021, 11:41 am

Also in the Australian that the US and Australia will soon cooperate to manufacture missiles in Australia, that the NT Tindal RAAF Base airfield is being lengthened to handle US bombers, a large reinforced fuel depot is being built there as well.

Storage for munitions and defence equipment is another project in the NT.

A more ambitious plan to redevelop the PNG Lombrum naval base is underway.

Not mentioned was the East Timor naval base plans or the new Darwin Harbour naval base.

    ‘Australia’s Covid Nightmare’

Brendan O’Neil’s blog and podcasts (in the UK) are in friendship with our Rowan Dean & ‘Outsiders’ so this article should be taken seriously by those ministers in our State & Federal Governments.

    https://www.spiked-online.com/2021/05/26/australias-zero-covid-nightmare/

I don’t think they understand yet, that not everyone will ever be vaccinated because we don’t want it.

  • Cliff 26/05/2021, 8:58 pm

DT, re your comment about the selection of the French submarine’ was made ‘only after consultation’ with the experts.

I have been told by friends very closely involved that the French submarine wasn’t even on the shortlist. (If only because it didn’t #### exist!) The politicians just sprung it on the ‘experts’ as a complete surprise.

    • DT 29/05/2021, 3:01 pm

Cliff, please read then article and note the comparisons with “off the shelf” submarines.

I understand the the Abbott Government was close to doing a deal on the Japanese model and including the addition of US technology, but the fact remains that the Shortfin Barracuda from France was offered and exceeds the list of RAN requirements, and offers a next generation design and engineering as compared to the Japanese submarine now near to the end of its service life to be replaced by a brand new design. Also, that service like being a decade shorter by design.

We have been misled by media, as we so often are, and think about it, do we really expect the RAN and therefore our Government to make everything public knowledge, including therefore briefing potential enemies?

And your friend is right, France did not have a diesel-electric submarine to offer, as compared to the Japanese submarine already in production and operational with the Japanese Navy. France decided to participate by offering a new design based on their nuclear design but not a modification, a new submarine.

Collins Class was a similar acquisition, remember? Sweden offered a new design based on their existing submarine which has since developed into the Gotland Class that so impressed the USN when they chartered a couple of them for evaluation. Collins Class are unique to our RAN and Shortfin Barracuda will be, unless the USN decides to order Australian built SFB as suggested could be done in the article.

Consultation meaning Cabinet relies on expert professional advice, as Graham “Richo” Richardson, former Labor Cabinet Minister, explained on Sky News not long ago, in answer to a dumb question about the qualifications of Cabinet Ministers to purchase new submarines.

      Anyway, read the article.

  • PW 28/05/2021, 1:34 pm

This is an interesting survey I found on my mobile phone. I tend to believe this as its possibly the same as what I view. Celebrities and journalists are the least trusted. Since most normal people would not tap into the ABC News for stories I wondered how much closer it would be with trust going right out the window to the left. And Misinformation is of great concern. Is not revealing the entire picture “misinformation” or not covering a story that would place the in a bad light?
    https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-05-27/vast-majority-of-australians-concerned-about/13361576

    • Albert 28/05/2021, 2:01 pm

PW: Misinformation and selective information has become the trademark of so-called news media in this country and many others as those in the media try really hard to promote and ‘woke’ and the leftist socialist termites.

      • Cliff 28/05/2021, 3:24 pm

Im agree Albert. What the ABC does not report upon is almost as enlightening as the misinformation they too often peddle.

I’m constantly surprised when speaking to friends or acquaintances I don’t see often at ‘news’ that have absolutely now knowledge of. It’s reached the stage where my comeback line has come to be: “You get your news from the ABC, don’t you?”

Invariably, they nod to acknowledge that they do. For such people, anything and everything on Sky News is a TOTAL pack of lies and Murdoch propaganda.

They see absolutely nothing unusual about the ‘breaking news’ that Covid most likely came from the Wuhan laboratory and not from the bat market was being discussed nightly by damn near every talking head on Sky News 15 months ago – and anyone repeating that was banned from damn near every social media platform as a peddler of hate speech.

    • John 28/05/2021, 7:54 pm

“Celebrities and journalists are the least trusted”.
So why on this earth do people listen to them?. In particular the left who delight in parading celebrities who seem to believe they are the wellspring of truth, the light on the hill. Going all the way back to Whitlam and his idiot acolytes singing “ItsTime”. Successful actors and actresses are so because they can portray something imaginary or impossible, a lie in other words, as reality. By definition not trustworthy. Jodi McKay had the effrontery to pose as a unbiased, dispassionate NBN journalist for many years in Newcastle. All the time in truth as a Labor hardliner whose integrity regarding donations from Buildev was debatable.
Celebrities and journalists- a pox on all of them.

  • PW 29/05/2021, 7:38 am

John what amazed me though was I never participated in that survey and my bet is that the majority of conservatives never would have tuned into the ABC. So who contributed? Were they all fence sitters?

    • Neville 29/05/2021, 2:54 pm

Yes, PW. Is that one the ABC-driven “Australia Talks”?
If so, we can quite simply disregard it, as (their) EhBC is well-known for commissioning “surveys” that will “confirm” its “narrative”.

  • Graham+Richards 29/05/2021, 8:43 am

Since the COVID 19 extra strong XXX version hit the shores of Victoria I notice the enthusiasm for repatriating citizens from India has evaporated.

Surely they need all 10,000 citizens to return immediately. After all Victoria is so experienced in handling this crisis they would obviously conquer it all in their sleep or should I reword that to “in their dreams”.

    Wankers!!

  • Albert 29/05/2021, 1:57 pm

You have to give it to the dopey Victorian Clayton’s government they certainly know how to piss people off. First up they lock down the whole state because of 30 odd cases in suburban Melbourne. The stupidity of that is that residents of places like Mildura (550klms and 6 hour drive from Melbourne) are not only locked down but are being forced to wear masks outside.
Then, to top everything off, they confine you to your home and just when your only form of entertainment is the TV they flood every damned channel with their daily drone session where they tell you everything they told you yesterday and the day before and the day before that. Not only do they do that but they have three or four people fronting the cameras to all tell you the same thing. Then to further enrage you they explain the ins and out of the cats rectum in the finest of detail over and over and over.
Don’t those babbling morons have something better to do to earn their very substantial wage and bonus packets?

OK sitting government, if you’re too damn soft to slash ABC funding, at least deduct what ever the settlement they have to pay for the false accusations against Christian Porter. And demand Milligan’s removal since she’s responsible for losing tax payers funds.

    • Cliff 01/06/2021, 7:03 am

I heard Milligan described as ‘a highly regarded journalist’ last night on Sky.

In the salons of Sydney’s woke inner west perhaps, but how the woman retains a skerrick of credibility after the totally discredited hatchet job she did on George Pell is beyond me.

And I understand that she is boasting on Twitter about her ‘victory’ against Christian Porter.

I can’t see how Porter can survive politically after accepting this soft solution (!) to his case against the ABC.

The (it would seem) at best embarrassing, possibly damning evidence the ABC had on him that was about to be made public will, without doubt, eventually be leaked. That’s a certainty. He needed a total victory or he is political roast, at least as a potential leader of the Liberals.

The ABC (and, it would seem, Kate McClymont) set out to destroy his leadership ambitions and, with this result, I think they have succeeded.

      • Pensioner Pete 01/06/2021, 7:14 am

Today Michael Smith news reported that in an act of pure bastardry the Victorian government recently refused to grant permission to the parents of an 8 year old boy to hold a proper and fitting funeral, 250km from Melbourne, for the lad who drowned on a school overnight camp. However that same two-faced, arrogant, ignorant and disgusting government/bureaucratic group gave permission for a film crew to set up shop in the Port of Melbourne to film stuff that would be an advantage to its sitting member the Dishonourable Martin Foley.
It must be made clear that at the location of the lads funeral, Wangaratta, there were no cases of the virus but the Port of Melbourne seat of Martin Foley was a known and recorded virus hot spot.

A niece said she was looking into the uni subjects and said she was serious about Climatology. I said she has to be kidding, its just going to be a subject you have to agree to 100% as the science is “settled”. In fact why would they offer this subject?

    • Aktosplatz 07/06/2021, 8:42 am

According to the late Prof Bob Carter, there is no such subject as Climatology, or Climate Science.

And the reasons he gave were that Climate Science is a complex mixture of the Sciences (plural) and mathematics. He was an expert in his day, as is Prof Ian Plimer and they seem to have majored in Chemistry,Physics, and Geology.

And of course those were the subjects that fake Climate Scientist Flannery never touched. Too hard I suppose.

Having a Climatology course is another soft way out.

      • Botswana+O'Hooligan 08/06/2021, 8:20 am

Geophysicists and geologists are the true earth scientists but governments rarely consult them and instead listen to the likes of flannery, garnaut, and gore, none of whom have the faintest idea of what they are talking about but are supreme bullshit artists and con men. It’s a wonder Bruce Pascoe hasn’t been invited into the group but one supposes that given time he will get a guernsey when he exhausts the subjects on the first agronomists, astronomers, mathematicians, town planners, and other stuff as in the wheel, for the so called first peoples probably also used levitation and perhaps perpetual motion.

The destruction of small business due to chicom virus lockdowns is deliberate

Chairman Dan’s filthy pigs are at it again. The Federal Govt MUST intervene and place Victoria under administration. It only a matter of time before someone decides enough is enough and violence ensues.

There must be an enquiry into VicPol and heads roll

Well done SP, I like that!. And I fear you are right that someone will decide enough is enough and deliver summary justice. It surprises me a bit that it hasn`t happened so far. I`m not sure what that says about Australians now, you can read it two ways.

I have just received a letter from Medicare that my ‘Covid Vaccination’ records are being attached to my Medicare file on MyGov.
(I haven’t been vaccinated). It is called ‘My Immunisation History’ and it is (quote) To get proof of my COVID19 Vaccination (unquote)

I never asked them to do this, so my Covid Vaccination record will be blank. Is this going to matter soon, and if so, how and why?

    • Botswana+O'Hooligan 12/06/2021, 8:38 am

Govt at work Akto, I got one signed by Morrison, the minister for health, and the CMO urging me to get the vaccine and register with Medicare ASAP so that it would be on my “My Govt. for aged care” an aged care mob who promised to visit the new selection five months ago and get grab rails placed in showers, baths, toilets, etc. and have never turned up. I used the letter to light the wood fired heater for I have no intention of getting a vaccine that won’t prevent me from getting the dreaded bloody virus, won’t stop me from getting the dreaded virus, and won’t prevent me from spreading the virus, but might kill me a few years sooner than planned. People who swallow this abject bloody nonsense deserve the governments we have.

      • Neville 12/06/2021, 10:22 am

Trouble is, Bots, that the very people who DO swallow the bullshit influence enough OTHER people to make the lives of ALL the rest of us utterly miserable.

      • Pensioner Pete 12/06/2021, 11:41 am

Bots: My letter was put to good use, via the shredder then into the chook laying boxes, thanks to the government the chooks are happy.

    • Aktosplatz 12/06/2021, 3:53 pm

Thanks Guys, that’s all I needed to hear. I had decided to just ignore it, anyway. We have been saying for a while that they are just itching to make it all compulsary.

More on the scaremongering, Luk has been warning us about.

    Dear ,

It takes courage to stand firm for Australian sovereignty.

This is exactly what our Prime Minister is doing.

The PM delivered an important speech this week titled “A World Order That Favours Freedom” at Optus Stadium in Perth, on his way to the G7 in the United Kingdom.

It was a serious, measured and firm address.

The PM warned us that we live in a period of great uncertainty, not seen since the 1930s.

He made the case that liberal democracies must band together, as we have in the past:

…the defining issue I believe, for global and regional stability — upon which our security, our prosperity and our way of life depends — is escalating great power strategic competition.

Rapid military modernisation, tension over territorial claims, heightened economic coercion, undermining of international law — including the law of the sea — through to enhanced disinformation, foreign interference and cyber threats, enabled by new and emerging technologies.

Our challenge is nothing less than to reinforce, renovate and buttress a world order that favours freedom.

To preserve peace we must be strong, and stand up for the values we believe in.

Under the Morrison Government, Australia is working closely with our allies, increasing our supply chain resilience, and building our sovereign capability.

This is how we avoid conflict in our region. Weakness attracts those who would do us harm. But since World War II, our strong alliances have maintained the peace.

This is tough leadership, and the firm hands we need on the reins right now.

Labor is weak and offers no alternative.

Less than a week ago Labor’s Deputy Leader was on the ABC, attacking the Government’s handling of our relationship with China.

Yet he couldn’t explain how a Labor Government would act differently, beyond saying they would “do the diplomacy right.”

History shows us that events deal harshly with people who lack courage and convictions.

Australia needs strong leadership on the world stage. The Prime Minister has pointed the way forward.

As we ride the rocky terrain ahead—like the mountain horseman in our greatest national ballad—we won’t shift in our seat.

    Best,

    Andrew Hastie

The measure of the PM is in actual achievements, not political waffle. SlyMo is first rate with the waffle, but has fallen well short for any meaningful achievements.

      • Botswana+O'Hooligan 13/06/2021, 8:32 am

PP, he has achieved a better set of pension conditions for himself on retirement, the aim of his game, and all else is of no import.

  • PW 12/06/2021, 6:36 pm

A new ad campaign to reduce your shower time. Dams are full, but its about insurance for the future so they say.
As always, consumption of water will reduce and so will their income.
WATER RATES sure to be increase!

    • Botswana+O'Hooligan 13/06/2021, 8:30 am

They placed water restrictions on us in the Redlands way back area so we cut back on water usage so they increased the rates because the income from the reduced water usage fell. In the meantime (take your pick of how many Sydney Harbour volumes, the yardstick of choice) some of the purest water on Earth flowed from the sandhills of Stradbroke Island into the ocean.

How is it that a reader of ABC news articles refuses public comments from being published? The same people that publically fund this activism.
They may find it could benefit their journalism(?) when they are called upon to provide another side or a little more evidence.
