When I was based in Vienna, we had the best of two Worlds.
Austria is (was) mainly Catholic and Lutheran, so the country respected both religions.
This meant extra Holy Days not always shared, but observed.
It was best to claim Lutheran as you always got both lots of days off…
And the number of Holy Days that fell near the weekends was great for extended days in the Mountains or wherever…….
I had Singaporean residency for a few years and also appreciated the extra holidays provided courtesy of the multicultural society.
