Turnbull’s giant step

Leopards, spots, and Turnbull

Six and a half years ago Chancellor Angela Merkel said unequivocally that attempts to build a multicultural society in Germany have “utterly failed.” She said the so-called “multikulti” concept – where people would “live side-by-side” happily – did not work, and immigrants needed to do more to integrate.
A couple of months later David Cameron launched a devastating attack on 30 years of multiculturalism in Britain, warning it is fostering extremist ideology and directly contributing to home-grown Islamic terrorism. He warned Muslim groups that if they fail to endorse women’s rights or promote integration, they will lose all government funding. All immigrants to Britain must speak English and schools will be expected to teach the country’s common culture.
It was all bullshit.

Multiculturalism went on as before and even thrived to the point that police refused to investigate much less take action against Pakistani gangs who systematically groomed and raped young British girls and Merkel opened the treasure of Germany to hordes of bullshit “refugees.”

It isn’t as though they didn’t have warnings.

Yesterday, the 20th of April, was the 49th anniversary of the Rivers of Blood speech by Enoch Powell.

That was the very day when Turnbull, to a blare of trumpets, made the same sort of speech that Merkel and Cameron had made, and followed it up with immigration rules directed squarely at Muslim immigration.

Here is what Enoch Powell had said – remember, it was nearly fifty years ago.

Here is a decent, ordinary fellow Englishman, who in broad daylight in my own town says to me, his Member of Parliament, that the country will not be worth living in for his children. I simply do not have the right to shrug my shoulders and think about something else. What he is saying, thousands and hundreds of thousands are saying and thinking – not throughout Great Britain, perhaps, but in the areas that are already undergoing the total transformation to which there is no parallel in a thousand years of English history. We must be mad, literally mad, as a nation to be permitting the annual inflow of some 50,000 dependents, who are for the most part the material of the future growth of the immigrant descended population. It is like watching a nation busily engaged in heaping up its own funeral pyre. So insane are we that we actually permit unmarried persons to immigrate for the purpose of founding a family with spouses and fiancées whom they have never seen.

He went on with more examples and then said-

As I look ahead, I am filled with foreboding. Like the Roman, I seem to see “the River Tiber foaming with much blood”. … Only resolute and urgent action will avert it even now. Whether there will be the public will to demand and obtain that action, I do not know. All I know is that to see, and not to speak, would be the great betrayal

So it was on the very anniversary of Powell’s speech that Turnbull put the shutters up on Muslim immigration. You have to have a job, he said. You have to speak English, he said. But did he mean it?

It was exactly a month before – on the 20th March a month ago that this excuse for a leader was saying how marvellous our multiculturalism is.

“We condemn people who incite racial hatred,” he said. “Regular inter-faith and inter-cultural dialogue” is a way to reduce tensions,” he said. We need “Settlement programs support migrants to become self-reliant and active members of the Australian community,” he said.

He was as happy as a rat in a cheese factory, and glowing with self-satisfaction, when he also said “We should celebrate the fact that when we compare ourselves to many nations around the world we’ve got a great success story, we’ve got a good story to tell and the way we continue with that success story is to focus on those common values.”

So is he bullshitting about the new immigration regulations? Will there be special conditions for bringing your brides in? Will there be special conditions for Muslim Imams?

Can a leopard change its spots? Merkel and Cameron said the same sort of things.

These immigration conditions are Mr. Trump-Turnbull’s hope to swing the polls – there can be no doubt about that.

And we voters will just have to wait to see if they are being enforced.

    Great article!
You can tell that Enoch Powell was seeing well beyond his time. People still talk about his speech. Unfortunately, the shit that he predicted has come to pass and England, France, indeed most of Europe has been lost to the barbarians.
Can we imagine anyone talking about one of Tremble’s speeches in 50 year’s time?
I doubt it. (I’d get pretty enthusiastic about his resignation speech…if only he’d hurry up and make it.)
He’s hanging around like a haemarrhoid!

Great comment Tommy – Just made my day 🙂

My pleasure, Bagman. I try hard, but I feel utterly outclassed by some of the gems contributed lately by others to describe Tremble. 🙂

What was that about Turnbull and immigration?
“Oh don’t worry luv …can you switch back to the footy?”

“….by the way, I wouldn’t mind getting that new tattoo this week. We can afford it, Jimmy doesn’t need his school books until next month.”

Many a true word spoken in jest.

    Great article.
The insincere waffling prick of Wentworth doesn’t believe what he says.
The idiot , backstabbing flat face PM does NOT have Australian values.
    Never has had them.

I am surprised that Turnbull’s minders have not yet twigged to the fact that he does not have the ability to sell that in which he clearly does not believe – – he looks completely out of place in a public bar or club trying to make out he is enjoying a beer and looks at his most insincere worst when talking about Australian values.

He is a fake alright and blind Freddie could tell that by his body language and eye batting for he cannot even act as if he were sincere. The really big problem as I see it is not him for everyone with any nous has seen him in action from “spy catcher” and the republican movement on, and the 54 odd who backed him in his assassination of TA must also have known that too, but why did they do it?

Emulating Krudd! Now there is a role model for trumble.

    • Joe Blogs 21/04/2017, 4:27 pm

Peter, I haven’t seen Trumble in an Akubra like Howard (not unsurprising as I don’t watch much local news). In each case, it’d be a big rabbit under a little one.

Malcolm Turnbull is a bad PM no doubt about it. Tony Abbott is 100% a better man, the media hate him. Rudd and Gillard were bad PM’s Australia has lost the title the lucky country. Do you feel lucky with Malcolm, did you trust Rudd or Gillard .4 PM’s mentioned who do you trust.

Leopards don’t change their spots and neither do little pussies like Melvin.
