Tandberg gets it right

Tandberg gets it right

While Fairfax has been caught on the back foot with Mr. Trump-Turnbull’s plans to cut out Muslim immigration Tandberg, the Herald’s drolly cynical cartoonist, got it right.

The proposed new immigration laws ask the immigrants if they are support wife beating and genital mutilation among other things.

So what? they can say they do without meaning it – they have Taqiyya on their side. Ah, but…

We know that as well as they do and the questions are just there to catch them later.

If you later beat up the missus, if you force marriages, – and you have said that you wouldn’t – that is enough to revoke your chance to be a permanent citizen without the government having to go through a lot of red tape to put you out. You lied on your application form.

There will be a lot of heavy hearts in the mosques of the world tonight.

And will there be repercussions?

Shouldn’t be surprised if Turkey and Saudi Arabia and Iran and Iraq and Nigeria make it a stipulation that if any Aussie wants to settle there he has to promise that he does support mutilating a woman, and giving her a gentle hiding now and then.

Great cartoon and a nice bit of humour in the intro, but on a more serious note, thank you Pauline.

Let’s hope that it is indeed so, that these new tests will trap wife beaters etc. It is a clever and cunning ruse, if so. But somehow I just don’t have any faith in anything Turnbull says or tries to implement.

I suppose we should be thankful that something is in the offing in regard to tighter immigration and citizenship requirements being introduced. However, it get right up my nose that Trumble, while conducting a waffling marathon on TV, rides on the coattails of Peter Dutton who is so obviously the one who has put in the hard yards only to have Trumble steal his thunder. Despicable weasel.

Agree, Albert. It’s a step – albeit a small one – in the right direction; but the koran is the root of all islamic evil, followed by the sheiks or muftis or whatever they think they are, and of course their mosques, then the “ghettos” they form which are again, of course, exclusive of infidels (ie, the people whose forebears built the country but whom they want to displace, enslave or murder).

There’s a long way to go to rid ourselves of the islamic scourge and Step 1 is to dispense with PC and its many legal tools that work against the host populace, including the despicable RDA.

Dutton is just the MAN to do it.

time will tell if this will work!

So, I may have missed something but does that mean these new immigration laws apply to everybody that has been in the country for 4 years? What happens if they fail the test are they automatically deported? What happens to all the bludgers and scum that have been here for years and years, must they now take the test (and learn English!)?

Sounds like a great article..pity I can’t read it as I am overseas at the moment.
But I agree with the points made above. ie:
    1) Turnbull is a despicable weasel.
    2) Dutton is a man.

But I doubt it will apply to refugees…they cannot be deported. No matter what crimes they commit. (Much to the joy of the PC brigade.)

Their polling says they have to do this, but unlike Pauline their heart is not in it. Remember Sinodinos’ maiden Senate speech, devoted entirely to how we should increase our immigrant intake ( above already the highest in the world !)
Remember Howard, same empty rhetoric, he then proceeded to behind the doors up the immigration.
