How are we travelling?
While our numbers increase is there anything we can do better regarding article subject?
Your comments will be appreciated in Your Off Topic Forum below.
Ed, the only things Blogs would ask you to consider are getting the heads of your tech dept to assign a team of their minions to:
1) fix the glitch that cuts down Comment spaces and virtually mixes two or more Comments; and
b) allow the use of more than one URL per Comment.
Lord, yes, please! That must have been why my comment of a few days ago was binned.
Hang on, my comment of a few seconds ago does not appear here. (??)
Please put in an edit function, it need only be active for an hour or so. It will allow for minor corrections and maybe to add an additional comment but after that ….. nothing, so people can’t edit a comment months after first posting it.
You are doing pretty well and the comments are appropriate, unlike say “Pickering.” There are too few decent sites around for those with conservative views these days and this is one of the best.
TG echoes Blogs’ comment above.
I think MM is great…in fact, I start my day with it.
I am curious, though, as to how you guys are funded. I’m sure you don’t run this for free.
Carry on with those comments above articles. They’re often better than the articles themselves.
And sometimes need to distinguish a bit better between what is commentary and what is the article.
JBs comments are apt, otherwise I think it’s great.
Oh, maybe more insightful comments by Prof Pilgarlic!
Yes, love Prof Pilgarlic’s comments.
Topics of interest that are covered often and well commented include: –
Politics, Terrorism, Immigration, Power/green scams, poor ABC standards.
Maybe you could add bad court judgements, lenient sentencing, political donations from O/S, corruption in business, banking enquiries, fact checking shortfalls, political lies from one year to the next. That should be at least a couple of hints for things I’d like to see.
I like MM’s irreverent humour. Making one laugh over serious matters is a clever way of getting the message across and keeping alive the importance. I don’t know any other blog or newspaper that does that or does it so well. Off the wall humour is clever. How many people are involved in MM’s production?? Will the Ed say?
How about the fines racket? Being run by private companies who have taken over the justice system. There are so many laws that prohibit fines not imposed by a court, and yet no one ever covers this topic. Other than the knowyourrightsgroup and aussiespeedingfines. $10 billions stolen last year by private companies and government offices posing as corporations in violation of sec. 86 of the 1914 Crimes Act.
Neville also echoes Bloggsy above.
I’d like to see a “like” button for comments. I often like a comment but don’t have anything to say in response but I’d just like to let the commenter know I liked what they had to say.
I second that suggestion.
Agree with this comment. Also with Ian’s suggestion of stories on immigration, lack of a population policy is my particular bugbear.
This publication is a breath of fresh air among the dross of MSM which is by-and-large utterly irrelevant and disgraceful.
Keep up the good work with your limited staff.
yes excellent suggestion again it is Jack Richards
Excellent suggestion JR
MM starts my day and adds a touch of humour to an otherwise dejected day as the bureaucrats slowly strangle us.
Keep it up MM you are an elixir in the wannabe Marxist world.
Overall, MM is doing pretty well. I would echo earlier comments about the problem with formatting, which occasionally goes haywire.
All good. Overall, I’d agree with those above about about URLs, and the short-term edit function would be useful. A ‘like’ button is an interesting idea, perhaps tied to the commenter’s name, such as “XXX likes this”.
Top work, MMEd, do please keep up the good work!
I would like a daily off topic heading, often when reading main stream media I get all het up over a subject and I have nowhere to vent my anger, surprise and some times but very rarely my approval. I have just read where Malcolm is going to add in 2020 missile interceptors to our Navy ships with the heading it will defeat North Korea. 2017 is now and the big problem with NK is hardly going to wait until 2020 , the waffler thinks none have read that NK is a treat now
I enjoy my daily fix of MM. Decent articles with a conservative slant, and often very humorous responses.
A picture is often worth a thousand words so the ability to insert graphics to reinforce debate would be worthwhile, even if subject to moderation before publication.
Concur with the earlier suggestion concerning an edit function for own text.
The ability to use HTML text formatting, for emphasis, would also be good.
MM is first off the rank for me and I love the irreverent sense of humour Keep up the terrific work and congratulations to you all
Just truly LOVE the new ‘edit’ feature, MMEd. Stupendous! Thank you!
Way to go Ed. This will save you a bit of editing time.
congratulations on all your topics.
The ‘previous comments’ and ‘next comments’ thing is a bit tedious though. Could we please go back to all comments on one page, visible simply by scrolling down? It make it WAY easier to follow commenters and their points of view.
Otherwise, good stuff, MM!
