They say that you should arrive at the “Pearly Gates” with your mortal coil totally worn or burnt out.
Listening to all those “Health Gurus” that you should have a low fat, alcohol free, sugarless healthy diet to keep you in pristine condition miss the point.
Leaving behind your body that is only partly used and fit for much more is a travesty.

    • Botswana O'Hooligan 24/04/2017, 2:50 pm

You are on the right track there.

    • Albert 25/04/2017, 9:44 am

Can you imagine the anguish of the health gurus when they find themselves in a hospital bed dying of absolutely nothing.

      • Neville 25/04/2017, 1:14 pm

Rather like the originator of the ‘jogging’ movement, who dropped dead of a heart attack .. while jogging.

“Listening to all those “Health Gurus” that you should have a low fat, alcohol free. . . ”
Umm, can you just hang on a minute while I get my glass of wine and platter of
brie ‘n crackers, then I’ll carry on reading what the Health Gurus have to say . . .

“So if I abstain from booze, fatty foods, cigarette, sex, and exercise regularly will I live to be 100?”
” Probably not, but it’ll feel like it”

Sunday Night on the Abo program on the ABC Radio about 9.30pm there was a bloke raving on about a Treaty. He even admitted that he hadn’t talked to Shorten yet about it, but thinks he has momentum for it.

ABC BIAS at its most obvious.

Not one single reference to Yassmin Abdel-Magied disrespectful and absolutely un-Australian remarks on the 26th April yet she was splattered all over the ABC home page the day after she was called to account on QANDA.
Your ABC ..yeah right! I don’t know who is running the ABC but it is pretty sure they are not Australians.

As for Magied, she is the classic case of why citizenship should be revoked or not granted.
Given that she holds dual Australian and Sudanese citizenship there must be some way to deport her.

Remember real Aussies..you still have your vote..don’t waste it on the garbage that allows these shitheads into our country.

Lest we forget (Manus, Nauru, Syria, Palestine)’: ABC presenter and Muslim activist slammed over ‘disrespectful’ Anzac Day remarks – weeks after she declared Islam ‘the most feminist religion’
Muslim activist Yassmin Abdel-Magied under fire for a controversial post
‘Lest we forget (Manus, Nauru, Syria, Palestine),’ Ms Abdel-Magied said
She was slammed online by people who accused her of being ‘disrespectful’
‘Do you know anything about the history of the Anzacs? Do you even care?’

Don’t think it can’t happen to you.

This is what all of you 70+ year old’s have to look forward to:

This is something that happened in an Aged Care Centre.
The people who lived there have small apartments but they all eat at a central Cafeteria.

One morning, one of the residents didn’t show up for breakfast so my friend went upstairs and knocked on his door to see if everything was OK. She could hear him through the door. He said that he was running late, and would be down shortly, so she went back to the Dining area.

An hour later, he still hadn’t arrived; so she went back up towards his room and she found him on the stairs. He was coming down the stairs but was having a hell of time. He had a death grip on the hand rail and seemed to have trouble getting his legs to work right.

She told him she was going to call an ambulance but he told her no, he wasn’t in any pain, and just wanted to have his breakfast. So she helped him the rest of the way down the stairs and he had his breakfast

When he tried to return to his room he was completely unable to get up even the first step so they called an ambulance for him.

A couple hours later she called the hospital to see how he was doing. The receptionist there said he was fine, he just had both of his legs in one leg of his boxer shorts.

Tin Eared Malcolm has just told on SKY news that he is bringing back David Gonsky to head our schools program, we must improve scholars to be the best they can be and extra funding will do this. He misses the point Julia Gillard had this man do all Gonsky and the students have gone backwards, so Malcolm has another brain flip and thinks if we try it all again with the same moron who invented it in the first place, we will be on a winner. This proves Malcolm is a half wit Lefty parading as a Liberal PM

    • Joe Blogs 02/05/2017, 3:26 pm

The sooner they’re both gonski, the better.

  • Graham Richards 02/05/2017, 7:24 pm

The uni fees & HECS thingy making & causing a lot of strife again….does the waffler have any original ideas instead of plugging into alllll of Abbott’s old policies. Does he have an original thought in his head….poor old Looosey!

This man is worse than useless!

    • aadje 03/05/2017, 4:34 pm

Looosey thought it was a great idea. As far as she was concerned he was now allowed to be on top. But only once!

  • Bh 03/05/2017, 1:27 pm

Guessing many of you guys will love looking at the old Bulletins: https://www.nla.gov.au/blogs/trove/2017/05/03/start-the-presses

    • Botswana O'Hooligan 07/05/2017, 11:52 am

The Bulletin and the North Queensland Register used to be my favourites. Thanks Bh

  • Topsy 05/05/2017, 2:30 pm

Now, who can possibly argue with that. But I do agree with Joe Blogs :”the sooner they’re both gone Gonski, the better” -and the better off education might eventually be.

    • Joe Blogs 05/05/2017, 10:08 pm

Topsy, as Blogs understands it, whatever the merits of Gonski’s original report, the Taffy Trollop and her despicable, third-rate mob amended it (as was probably pre-planned) to benefit politically-targeted schools and their teachers rather than address student (or teacher) performance. This from the SMH (therefore read it at your peril) – http://www.smh.com.au/federal-politics/political-opinion/the-gonski-review-of-school-funding-didnt-actually-say-what-you-think-it-did-20161012-gs17sq.html

Could someone who knows what actually happened please provide a definitive summary or link?

      • Topsy 06/05/2017, 9:21 am

I read the article at the attached link and decided it is impossible to know what to believe other than the dead weight of politics was much in evidence. Politics is why the whole thing is such a mess and that mess is never likely to be cleared as that involves politicians, teacher unions and other such interested parties, interested in everything except the rigorous teaching of our kids.
The sooner education, health, defence become bi-partisan issues not to be tampered with and politicised, the better of this Country will be.
As for the nuts and bolts of education there is much I could say – but what would be the use?

      • Joe Blogs 06/05/2017, 10:17 am

Topsy, that’s exactly what I thought – in addition to the notion that “Gonski” is more about redistribution of money – and more money – to buy votes for the ALFP and to implement social engineering programs, but nothing to do with excellence in education, let alone lifting it out of mediocrity.

France: Emmanuel Macron, Useful Idiot of Islamism
    https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/10310/emmanuel-macron-islamism

“During the cold war with the Soviet Union, they were called “Useful Idiots”. These people were not members of the Communist Party, but they worked for, spoke in favor of and supported the ideas of Lenin and Stalin. In the 21st century, Communism is finally dead but Islamism has grown and is replacing it as a global threat.

Like Communism, Islamism — or Islamic totalitarianism — has been collecting its “Useful Infidels” the same way Communism collected its Useful Idiots. There is, however, an important difference: under the Soviet Union, Useful Idiots were intellectuals. Now, Useful Infidels are politicians, and one of them may be elected president of France today.”
