Conservatives must be wondering?

Was Cory Bernardi forceful enough when speaking to the SSM Bill in his Senate address on Wednesday?

I did hear him speak and now question my thought to join his party and vote for him. He waffled without declaring which way he would vote. All he did was congratulate all the YES senators and all Australians that don’t intend to vote for him anyway. He will have to do a lot better for my liking. I’ve had enough of fence sitters like Turnbull et al. I want a Trump who shoots from the lip! Someone in parliament who is not afraid to mix it without fear of favour.

I too heard a bit of his speech and you picked up also he was not clear, what was he on about anyway was it to deflect from the SSM debate. I have joined the ACP so I to hope he improves

I think, to be fair to Cory, he declared long ago in print and elsewhere he would be voting for traditional marriage.

What do you want him to do? Burn Rainbow coloured jocks on the steps of Parliament House.
For those who can read, just look at his website and numerous blog comments to see that he was totally against SSM.
But in case you hadn’t figured, this is supposed to be a democracy where people are allowed to have an opposing opinion, even if we don’t like it.

Like most of us conservatives Cory is wellmanered, not bombastic or pushy, but he is the best we have st the moment. Pauline Hanson is strong but not well educated, which is not her fault but it puts her at a disadvantage. The two working together could be a good combination. There is not much on the scene at the moment although some glimmers of hope. Lets get behind and encourage whst we co have.

my off topic. I noticed when Christine K strode the broad walk with Bill Shorten, she had inherited a jacket worn by the Julia Gillard. One wondered what happened to the coloured, collarless jackets, were they in storage . well they will be made famous by the KK and useful for the month she plays at being a Labor Girl.

I didn’t hear the speech other than for a little on the TV news. I cannot imagine that Cory would have delivered anything but a principled response on the issue and from what I have heard elsewhere much of the speech was given over to the things being swept under the carpet like, for example, principle truth and such like. I gather it was a reminder, if not a wake-up call, about all the things which have been shoved – the debt, energy costs and so on while Turnbull dealt with the only thing he was capable of doing – changing the culture of Australia, without giving the electorate a fair – to both sides – booklet setting out the pros and cons of this immense change to our laws.

Topsy, I don’t think that Turnbull had any intention of being fair to anybody because he and his shallow wife don’t care. It was all about his image as directed by Loosey and the mantle of greatness he has bestowed upon himself as champion of the homosexual/lesbian gaggle.

Wentworth has a high homo cohort. Pink house / pink votes.

        Some legacy: Poofters’ Paradise.

Keating called Oz “the arse end of the earth” or something. He’d know.

Spot on Albert. The waffle now has his greatness, he thinks.!!
Cory has always expressed his views against ssm and it was because of his statement that once we give into the homos we will then find pologomy, beastility etc being the next fight for equal rights that got him sent to the back bench.

It wasn’t good enough for me. I have been trying to decide if I made the right decision to join the PHON party over the Australian Conservatives……..I did! Bernardi has his heart in the right place but he has skeletons in the closet BUT, I have not written him off yet.

There has to be a backlash against this PC/rainbow crapulence. The day they vote Poofter/Dyke/Queer marriage in will be the day we will renounce our wedding vows and apply for a Heterosexual Union ie. a Civil Partnership I think it’s called. Otherwise we will happily ‘live in sin’ for the rest of our days. I hope many other ‘normals’ will follow our example.

I don’t see the point in cutting off your nose to spite your face. Such a move will impress nobody and least of all the SSM mob.

This above all: to thine own self be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.
Farewell, my blessing season this in thee!

Why am I reminded of the TV series I Claudius about Caligula et al. All we need now is for someone to propose their horse/goat/cow for a place in the Senate. I weep for my country but benefit from being a septuagenarian so wont be around for the final descent into madness.

Exactly Bwana,it is a democracy and the yes vote did get up regardless of how we feel and so be it,what do supporters expect him to do,a dummy spit (right into the hands of the leftest media) grab a 47 and clean the supporters out (not bright) the man is not a Messiah, just a genuine voice for what is morally right and if any one thinks they can do better then take your vote else where,it wont be missed.

Trump said “the calm before the storm”… this could be what he was referring to.

The link will attempt to explain a lot of things that have been going on in the US, Clintons/Saudi Arabia/deep state and the Las Vegus massacre are all mentioned and the world. There are still many unanswered questions. You will need time and a cup of covfefe/tea to take it all in.

The Storm is upon us. Monday 27th November we should know more.

Came across this a couple of days ago….

    Zimbabwe Drums :

The drums are calling you old man, and grow louder by the day.
They are calling you to judgment, it’s now your time to pay,
For the wrongs you’ve done Zimbabwe, the trust which you betrayed.
So hear those drums a pounding, hear well, and be afraid!
The drums are calling you old man, and grow louder by the day.
For The cries of those you murdered, simply will not pass away,
In a land we called Rhodesia, Twas truly ‘God’s own land’,
You trashed it with your gluttony and evil thieving hand.
The drums are calling you old man, and grow louder by the day,
You starved your kinfolk of their food; the meek, your favoured prey,
With all your years of tyranny and lavish trips abroad,
Their proud heritage you squandered, through patronage and fraud.
The drums are calling you old man; and grow louder by the day
For your fellow brothers in Africa, are now ashamed to say.
That Cholera, poverty and starvation, are the heritage you’ve left.
Your end won’t come from cowardly Africa, but from civil unrest
The drums are calling you old man, and grow louder by the day,
The drums have sound their verdict; listen well to what they say,
For they foretell of your demise, and they have much to tell.
So hear the drums, old man, and listen to them well.
The drums are calling you old man, and grow louder by the day
Your ‘war vets’ have abandoned you, to flee another way
Now listen to those drums old man their message is not vague
They are pounding out across the world “We’ll see you in the Hague!!”
The drums are calling you old man; your country is in revolt,
You cannot blame the Western world; it is your entire fault.
Vultures circle overhead, they have come to feast on you,
Songomas have thrown the bones… now drink their witches brew
The drums are calling you old man, and grow louder by the day.
Now in your dying pain wracked days, what have you now to say,
For all your sinful wickedness; your heinous acts and theft.
I ask you old, pathetic, man…what legacy have you left?
    Alf Hutchison
    Rhodesian and South African Poet

      Pretty good, GR.

Wouldn’t take much to adapt it as “Point Piper Bongos”.
