muslim kidsThe Cannon Fodder Kids
Exclusive
Jack London

There is one concept that Muslims and and Communists agree on and that is the use of kids for soldiers.

The vision of Chinese kids in their ill fitting uniforms hardly needs to be mentioned.

And the use of children as soldiers in the Iraq-Iran war disgusted even the United Nations, and that takes some doing. Was Iran so short of men, that they were forced to do it? Even the kids in the defence of Nazi Berlin were only brought in because there was no one left.

Not that Iraq or Iran give a rat’s for what the United Nations thinks.

There was a myth at the time of that war that the Iranian kid soldiers carried little keys as a symbol that, when they had their head blown off, the locks on the Gates of Paradise would click open for them. However, it was no myth that kids were preferred to clear the landmines. Perhaps that explains it.

No one is talking here about 16-year-olds who put their ages up to that they can get into the army in World War I. We are talking here of kids as young as nine, and commonly no more than 14. There is no moral equivalence, so don’t try.

To see that the cynical use of children still goes on under the guidance of Hamas, one has only to look at Jerusalem today.

Hamas, Fatah and other Palestinian groups having had their backsides well and truly kicked in the recent operation Protective Edge are using the kids in a new intifada against Israel. (Why it was called Protective Edge in media reports is a mystery. The translation of the Hebrew is Operation “Strong Cliff”)

Nearly half of the Palestinians arrested recently are minors. Some as young as nine.

Children are sent to throw stones and firebombs at everything that is a target – and in Israel, for Palestinians, everything is a target – civilians, buses, policemen, soldiers, even light rail. Three kids were killed by Israeli soldiers last month.

One was preparing to hurl a firebomb at vehicles, and other killed during a firebomb attack on soldiers and a third was killed in a stonethrowing incident.

The respective ages of the kids was 13, 14, and 16.

It is significant that many of the kids’ attacks take place after school is out.

The thought that stone throwing might end in deaths sounds grotesque, but is a deliberate strategy. For a start, the stones are enough to crack anyone’s skull, secondly if soldiers walk away it it one more propaganda proof of the ‘cowardice’ of the Israelis, thirdly among the stones are sometimes firebombs, fourthly it screens very effectively someone with a gun – human shields – and finally, any child injured or killed is a cynical excuse for demonstrations which exploit the situation for world press.

The use of children for cannon fodder in the fight against Israel has attracted little attention from the international community or the media – or the United Nations which routinely condemns Israel every week.

Australians are far more likely to hear complaints from the United Nations that the diet of Muslims in immigration camps or in prison is not up to standard of the Ritz.

This is not the first time that Muslims have used children against the civilians and soldiers. During the first intifada, which erupted in 1987, children and women were often in the forefront of clashes with Israelis.

It is a good Hamas strategy, because children under 14 that are caught are referred to welfare agencies and sent home to do it again, no criminal record, no punishment – unless they are killed or wounded in cross fire and become martyrs to encourage other young ones.

It is a source of wonder to observers that the Muslims, so hostile to Israelis, still live in Israel when they could easily move a few miles south or east and live in happiness and safety in Gaza or the rest of Palestine. When they are being victimised so dreadfully by Israel why not become refugees? Does Israel offer so much in housing, health, education and employment?

It is one of Life’s Little Mysteries.

It would be a great thing, say observers, if all Palestinian supporters, especially governments, who send billions of dollars each year to Hamas, were to at least forego sending the cash if even one child is seen firebombing buses or schools or shops.

Yes, indeed, though how does one tell the age of the kid when he is wearing the Hamas burka?

In the “east” children are soldiers, in the “west” (and doubtless the east too) they are objects of sexual gratification for swathes of society.
Why can’t they be left uninterfered with to grow happily? Growing up is a tough enough job anyway.

There was a time when anti-Semitism was regarded as utterly shameful in light of the Nazi Holocaust and one of near equal intensity carried out in the Soviet Union and the “Eastern Bloc” in Stalin’s last years. Now, it’s de rigueur, quite fashionable, amongst the Greens and other Marxists to be openly and overtly a Jew Hater and blame Israel and Jewish-run capitalism and media in the USA for everything rotten in the world today.

I used to wonder why Greens and other Marxists would climb into bed with Islam and endlessly cover up for the crimes committed against Israel and Jews generally. The answer is as simple as the expression “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”.
